Bringing NIR2027 to NAGOYA!

hosted by JCNIRS and Nagoya University

Creating the Era of NIR World in Japan

We do hope to attract NIR2027 to Nagoya, Japan.

Our main motivation is "We can create the Era of NIR World", it is Tradition and Innovation sending from Japan. The conference will be co-organized by the Japan Council of NIR Spectroscopy (JCNIRS) and Nagoya University.

The beginning of 1980s, NIR spectroscopy has been introduced from USA to Japan. From 1985, "The Symposium on Nondestructive Measurement" including NIR spectroscopy was held every year by the Japanese Society for Food Science and Technology. And in 1989, the 2nd International Conference on Near Infrared Spectroscopy was held at Tsukuba, Japan. It was very memorial conference. The logo of ICNIRS was established by this Tsukuba conference. From 2004, Japan Council of NIR Spectroscopy (JCNIRS) was founded and we organized the "NIR Forum" every year. And many international NIR researcher joined NIR Forum.

Nagoya City is home to over 2.3 million people. It is Japan's fourth largest incorporated city, and Japan's third most populous urban area. Centrally located, it is one of the nation's most important transportation hubs, historical centers and industrial powerhouses. As the most centrally located major city, Nagoya evolved early as a major transportation hub and offers complete infrastructure for land, sea and air transportation, making it an ideal base for businesses and tourists. Innovation has always been part of Nagoya's culture, and this is where the Japanese art of manufacturing was perfected. Originally used atop the traditional festival floats unique to this area and as playthings for the affluent, the technology from these handcrafted wooden mechanical wonders led to automated loom manufacturing, which in turn influenced vehicle production line techniques, launching Nagoya's powerful industries.

We are looking forward to welcome you to NIR 2027 and our interesting city where both great academic experience and the wonderful memory are awaiting.

Welcome to “ the Era of NIR World" in Japan!
